Blake Daniels (born in 1990, lives and works in Paris, FR) is an American artist. They obtained a Master in Fine Arts in 2017 from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, ZA) as well as a BA in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Chicago, IL, US).Their work has been the subject of recent solo exhibitions at Matthew Brown (Los Angeles, CA, US) and Blank Projects (Cape Town, ZA). They have participated in residencies at the Macedonia Institute (Chatham, NY, US), the Cité internationale des arts (Paris, FR), and the Fine Art Works Center Fellowship (Provincetown, MA, US).
They were awarded the Edward L. Ryerson Fellowship at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have completed residencies at the Macedonia Institute (Chatham, NY, US), the Cité internationale des arts (Paris, FR), and the Fine Art Works Center Fellowship (Provincetown, MA, US).In 2022, they received the Emerging Artist Grant from the Rema Hort Mann Foundation.
