Molly Greene’s work is deeply influenced by philosophy, gender studies, and post-humanism. Her paintings, often characterized by pastel colors and organic shapes, delve into a universe where traditional oppositions are questioned. Inspired by encounters with other forms of life — whether plants, animals, or imaginary entities — Molly Greene’s art challenges conventional associations and invites a dialogue on intimacy, interconnection, and the porous boundaries between genders. By blurring the lines between the organic and the technological, she encourages the viewer to reflect on the impact of technology on inter-species relationships and how nature itself can be redefined through a post-humanist lens.
Greene’s work is an invitation to rethink the place of humans in a larger world, where nature is not merely a backdrop, but an active participant in the dialogue between humanity and machine. Her pieces, in their apparent simplicity, open a deep space for reflection on coexistence, evolution, and the blurred boundaries of our collective and individual identities
